Viewは、スマートガラスの会社。アプリで簡単に光加減を調整することができる。これによって、18%までエネルギー消費を削減し、23%までの太陽の放射を防ぐことができる。冷暖房のコストを削減できるし、ブラインドもいらなくなるということでかなり有名になったこともある。

Controlableなのが新しい点だね。ビルディングのトップにセンサーがあって雲なのかがわかる。それぞれの窓にもセンサーがあって、反応するようになっている。みんなはスマートグラスと言われているらしい。商業化するまでに多くの時期(10年くらい)がかかる。空調のコストを下げられるというようなものを通して、商業化できるまでに改善してきたんだろうな。病院も注目しているらしい。患者は体調を改善するために入院する。太陽光を受け取るためにも、より大きい窓を作って患者に光を当てたいらしい。なるへそ。スマートシティ、スマートビルディングの時代には必須の技術となるだろうな。中国みたいな競合企業がくるとどうなるのかきになる。やっぱり課題は、より多くの人にスマーとグラスを知ってもらうことだそう。だからこそたくさん企業と共同プロジェクトをやっていくことが重要だと。ファーストペンギンは大変そうだけど、CEO自身も楽しそうだな。

CEOのRaoは、インドの大学を出て、修士とマスターはボストン大学。メカニカルエンジニアリング専攻。そのあとハーバードビジネススクール出身。うーんこれはまさに、っていう感じの経歴だな。
